And again Sean Paul, but this time not alone, but together with Blu Cantrell!!! I’ve just watched their video on youtube - video is not the best one, but music - is phenomenal!!! It’s lyrics is also great, Sean Paul’s performance is superb (as always, of course ). But Cantrell is brilliant without any doubt! Blu Cantrell (or Tiffany Cobb) is a popular American song-writer and R&B singer (maybe, she made such decision because of her parents’ influence - father was an American NBA player and her mother - soul singer). Blu Cantrell is also neo-soul singer, by the way. Whatever you can think of that video, but you’ll understand at once, that Blu Cantrell is irreplaceable there, even Sean Paul in not that great singer without her - the duo made a really cool song. However, the car in that video is unnecessary - they could make something more interesting. But Blu Cantrell Feat Sean Paul’s “Breath” mp3 ringtone sounds cool!

Last year on November, 13 there was released a new album of Alicia Keys, which, according to her own words, should have been “completely new, fresh and incredible”. It’s name is “As I Am”. But first of all I’d like to write a few words about this talented and without any doubt gifted Americal soul, neo soul, R&B singer, songwriter, pianist. I should admit that she is extremely commercially successful singer - Alicia Keys (real name Alicia J. Augello-Cook) has already sold more than 30 million albums all over the world. She won eleven Grammy Awards, seventeen Billboard Music Awards!!! The best single of this album (”As I Am”) is “No One” - and it’s really great music. Alicia’s dramatic contralto which spans three octaves, is really incredible (the same adjective I used to describe her album). For this song she got her Grammy Award in category “Best Female R&B Vocal Performance”. Besides, in a few weeks after the release of the album the single “No One” topped Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. And only this fact can persuade everyone that this “No One” mp3 ringtone is great!

Beyonce Knowles is one of the best R&B singers in America. She became very popular at the time, when she was a lead singer of the girl group Destiny’s Child (as far as I know, this group was disbanded in 2005). Soon after that she released her solo albums, which were very successful commercially. Her song “Irreplaceable” was, actually, written not for her at first and not only by her. It was created in collaboration with Ne-Yo, Tor Erik Hermansen, Mikkel S. Eriksen, Espen Lind and Amund Bjorklund and was to be the single for her second album “B’Day”, which was released in 2006. This song was the album’s third single, but was so successful, that became Knowles’ second best-selling single (in her solo career not as a member of Destiny’s Child). It was certified as a multi-platinum and became the most successful. It was remaining at the top of US Billboard Hot 100 almost ten weeks. The song’s genres are R&B and pop, and it’s lyrics is about one guy, who was not very honest with his girlfriend, so she split up with him. Cassidy is a stage name of Barry Adrian Reese, who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and became one of well-known American rappers. He performs reggae, hip-hop, pop, R&B. Actually, he received some popularity after he won the freestyle battle with Freeway (a Roc-A-Fella artist). “Hotel” was included into his first album as a second single and became extremely popular - it charted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and U.S. Billboard Pop 100 at number 4, and peaked number 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in 2005. Cassidy’s lead single (”Hotel”) was recorded in R. Kelly’s Chicago studios (R. Kelly even sang in that song - you can hear his chorus). “Hotel” by Cassidy feat R. Yesterday I wrote a few words about Alicia Keys, but today I’ve found one song by Alicia feat Jahn Mayer - and I really like it! The song “Lesson Learned” was included into Alicia’s third studio album “As I Am”. Bedises, after the release of the album she sold almost 750.000 copies of this CD. So, now a few words about John Mayer He plays different genres: blues-rock, pop rock, blues, blue-eyed soul etc. When he was in school, he played the clarinet, but at the age of 13 his father rented him a guitar, and two years later he played at blues bars (being in high school). At the age of 17 he had problems with his heart and was one week in the hospital, since that time he understood, that his calling was songwriting (after the hospital he still suffers from panic attacks). Now, except of playing music, he participates in some philantropic organizations, writes a column giving lessons of guitar play, studies design. It turned out that Anthony discovered his talent when he was singing in the church’s choir. Later he decided to make a career of a singer and became popular R&B, soul and neo soul singer of America. Besides, he was a lot of times nominated for different awards and even managed to win three of them: BET J “Cool Like That” Award (in 2006) and two Vibe Music Awards in 2004 - Best Collaboration “Why” and Vibe Next Award. I can’t say, that “Charlene” (as well as “Charlene” mp3 ringtone) is one of the best song’s I’ve ever heard, but it’s really good, cause Anthony’s style is superb

Black Eyed Peas is a band of hip-hoppers from Los Angeles. This group was founded in 1995 and is still active and now consists of four members, among them you can see Taboo, Fergie, will.i.am and apl.de.ap. Two last people are also known as William James Adams Jr. and Allan Pineda. Since the foundation of the band they have already released 5 albums and are going to release the 6th one next year - “The E.N.D (The Energy Never Dies)”. Their single “Where Is the Love?” (feat. Justin Timberlake), which was included into the album Elephunk (very curious name, maybe, because one of the genres in which this group performs is also funk). But the very song is in rap pop genre and became very popular in the line of European countries, as well as in the USA, where it peaked Number 8 and become first Top 10 single of Black Eyed Peas. In UK, Germany, Australia, Ireland and many other countries it became Number 1 for a few weeks on the charts. The next year (in 2004) thanks to this single the band was Grammy Award Nominated in two categories: Record of the Year and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.

B2K is quite an old R&B band which was founded in 2001. They play R&B with the mixture of dance-pop - a really good combination of music styles. Since B2K’s foundation it changed its contingent and now consists of three members: Lil’ Fizz (the youngest member of former quartet, actor and rapper, of course), Raz-B (an American singer), J-Boog (an American singer and actor, was called by his grandmother “Boogie”, because he loved dancing). One member - Omarion (now he is American Grammy-nominated R&B singer, actor, songwriter, record producer, and dancer) - left the group in 2004. Bump Bump Bump (f. P Diddy) was the fourth single of B2K and debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. I’ve just watched their video to this song - nice combination of music and dance-style. It’s no wonder that “Bump Bump Bump” was number one in charts “Bump Bump Bump” (f. P Diddy) mp3 ringtone is a good choice for your cell phone

Ashanti (or Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas) is a famous American singer, songwriter, also a superb dancer (she learned hip-hop, ballet, African, modern and many other different dance styles). Besides, her parents were, actually, singers (both - father and mother). Ashanti became very popular in 2002 because of her hit song “Foolish”. She even managed to hold top two places on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart!!! The next year she was considered to be the “Princess Of Hip-Hop & R&B”. She has a wonderful soprano voice, sings mostly R&B, pop, hip hop. I’ve just listened to her song “Rock With U (Awww Baby)”, which was included into “Essential R&B [CD 1]” released in Spring 2005. I can’t say, that it’s a typical hip-hop song - it has something unique without any doubt. Anyway, Ashanti’s “Rock With You” mp3 ringtone sounds great!

Al Wilson - a famous American soul singer - was born in 1939 (but died this year because of kidney failure, being 68-years-old man). During his life he released seven albums: the first one was in 1968 and had the name “Searching for the Dolphins”, and the last one in 2004 - “Show & Tell: The Best of Al Wilson’”. Al Wilson’s “Show And Tell” song was included into “The Beat Goes On: The Greatest Hits Of The 60’s And 70’s” (CD 4), also in the album “Super 70’s”. These were the collections of songs not only sung by Al Wilson, of course. His “Show And Tell” is the song because of which he bacame pupular and known even nowadays, because he reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for one week in 1974 (and sold more than two million copies of it). It’s so pity that his original master tapes were burned because of the fire at his garage, which was reconstructed to serve as a recording studio.
